What is 'KOLME'?
'Kolme' literally just means 'three' in Finnish. I first heard it from a streamer I watch (aksually) who has a Finnish text-to-speech bot that reads out donations. The donation messages are read in a really thick accent,
and occasionally will read a '3' out by somebody typing a heart emoticon ('<3'), saying 'kolme'. This soundbyte slowly started subconsciously entering my mindspace even when I wasn't watching streams, and I didn't even realize where it came from at first. I started saying it under my breath to myself randomly, and after nearly three years of this I almost started to believe I'd made it up. The word itself or origin aren't super symbolic to me, it's just a word that I think sounds nice, and that I've decided to use as a username for myself.
What Am I to Expect on 'KOLME'?
I made this site because, much like others, I wanted a completely customizable and entirely unique place on the internet where I could upload anything in any way that I pleased. Coding for this site began in April 2025, and snapshots are available through the Internet Archive in the news archive. I'll be sharing my art and ramblings and various links in their specified sections. I kind of feel like I'm bringing nothing to the table, like KOLME should serve some sort of fundamental purpose on the internet, but until I can think of something cool enough, this site will remain as a personal dumping ground.
This site is an attempt to express myself with no restraint, but I've found while working on this site that if there are no restraints I'll often invent them out of habit. I think partially KOLME serves the purpose of breaking myself out of my shell and discovering my true sense of being.
